A night watchman in a museum who finds that its artefacts come to life at night, which in the first film alone has to stop his older predecessors who want to use the source of the magic to rejuvenate themselves

A guy trapped in an animatronic suit that goes after nightguards as a result of seeking a power that would make him immortal, and thus killed some kids and used said power to transfer their souls into some animatronics in a pizza restaurant, which caused them to come to life at night and hunt down the night guards

William Afton/Springtrap has the makings of a darker Night at the Museum antagonist.
